About This Project

Adult & Pediatric Dermatology is a dermatology facility located in Forest Hills, New York (Queens). Dr Michael had an existing website with a very dated design. It lacked current features such as social media integration, responsiveness, and usage of style sheets. It was built completely in PHP, and written rather complex. His initial focus was on Google Search Engine Optimization on the original website, which we were able to provide and help him rank for primary keywords and key phrases. However SEO alone was not enough here, as the user experience was rather poor. So we embarked on a complete redesign of the site focusing on driving the prospective patient to information they are after such as phone number, address information, hours of operation, appointment booking, a way to contact the doctor and ask non-confidential questions, bios and photos about the providers, and patient forms.

What We Did And How

We worked with Dr Michael and his office manager and website administrator,Ester, on the color scheme of their choosing and any must have features for the website. We then created mock up designs and placed them in front of Ester to determine the layout she preferred for the practice.

Once completed we carefully crafted the layout and text on page so that current SEO would not be disrupted. We ensured that existing pages that were already recognized by Google, remained intact in order to maintain positive placement. Within two months, adultandpediatricdermatology.com ranked for over 70 key works and key phrases within the first two Google search result pages (SERPs). Approximately 50% of those on the first Google search result page. 59% of which were in the top five organic search results on page one.
